Shiv Headcanons

His favorite music genre is jazz. I think in a more modern day era, though, he'd enjoy alt rock with some jazzy elements to it.

OKAYY I know he says he hates cats.... but he's got a bit of a soft spot for any ones he happens to cross on the street. Like, if he's munching on something and sees one staring up at him, he'll throw it a proverbial bone. "C'mere, kitty, got a lil' something for you." And he'll tear off a piece of meat and toss it over. Same goes for dogs as well, of course, but those he'll also pet if they seem tame enough.

Shiv LOVES the chase, but only of he's got something in his sights. He's not particularly fond of tracking things down, but he does it because when he finally gets that taste of blood in the water... It's definitely enough to get him going.

Used to be on a bowling team! Unfortunately, he found it hard to keep up with meets with his team due to how much work he has in the Society, so he had to draw out. Still greatly enjoys the sport though.

Doesn't see his daughter as much as he'd like to. The desire to see her more is there, but... there's also an underlying fear of showing her a worse side of him, or letting her down in some way. You won't ever hear him say that shit, though. He'll push past that. Eventually...

Okay I love love looove Shiv. He's a favie right up there with Abrams, but fuck I struggle to figure out his character a lot. Mf is a hard guy to get right. Anyways any other HCs for other characters you got please send in!!

Ok, so not able to really go deep into it right now after a long day at work, but I started thinking about a Tron coming to AFTER being Rinzler & getting time to think on all the horrible things he's done as Rinz & how post-Rinz Tron turns into a terrible gloomy presence, a new type of unbeatable monster, impossibly afflicted by all the pain he's caused & deaths he's wrought. A Tron that's so ashamed of what he's done, he turns into a different sort of disaster from what he was at Rinz, one that no longer can be the rescuer but one who needs to be rescued from himself & lost all agency in fear of harming anyone else again. Reminded that he is not only to blame for all those he lost to his own fiendish ways, but for all the terrible things he's done.

The hero needing his own rescuing, but made of claws & fangs, lashing out at anyone that dare take another step his way & risk his harm or dare consider a monster like him deserves an ounce of kindness at all.

One who's desperately in need of saving but thinks he himself unwanted, undeserving, and the more he isolates himself & less he thinks of himself, the more he devolves into something else entirely...

Biting & growling & retreating into a state that can't be held at bay, a malignant form toxifying the corner of the Grid he makes his home, poisoning & killing everything in a radius of self hatred or uh. Something like that.

I was poking around in looking at the OLD League of Legends lore... like, the really old old lore, back when Summoners were still a thing and so were Judgements and Journal of Justices.

And I found something frankly hilarious to me, which is... the old Journal of Justices were structured like news articles showing the goings-on of the world and progressing the story in little ways. One of those was a reporter who tracked down Shaco and interviewed him with ten questions (no more, no less), and...

one time I used the ben affleck smoking reaction image in the family group chat and my mom replied with the funniest possible response which was: "mommy doesn't know who the guy is???" and that phrase has not left my brain since. the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

The world exists in such a baffling state of simultaneous sex-aversion and sex-hegemony. Every social platform on the internet is trying to banish sex workers to the shadow realm but I can't post a tweet without at least two bots replying P U S S Y I N B I O. People are self-censoring sex to seggs and $3× but every other ad you see is still filled with half-naked women. Rightwingers want queer people arrested for so much as existing in the same postal code as a child and are also drumming up a moral panic about how teenage boys aren't getting laid enough. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

Bisan is calling for another global strike!

I saw some posts just outlining Jan 21st, and wanted to clarify that Bisan has called for a full seven days of action.

What a global strike would look like is:

calling in sick to work

purchasing bare essentials ahead of the week so you can observe the general boycott of goods / buying as little as you genuinely can

putting in a concerted effort to elevate Palestinian voices and make it clear that this strike is in support of a permanent ceasefire!
